Big Sis Duties

Mollie was excited to read the Bible to her baby, and her baby was alert and ready to listen and learn.

Sleepy, Happy Mommy

Bath time

The high is 110 this week, so bathing by hose outside is about the only way to be outside!

Sunning

Kendall visited the pediatrician yesterday (third time we've heard her described as "feisty") and had a bit of jaundice, so she spent the early morning hours sunning with Grandma outside.

Meeting my sis

Mollie's excitement level for meeting her new sister peaked after hanging out in the hospital room pre-delivery.

She walked into our room with Grandma and Grandpa so excited to meet "my baby". Unfortunately, Kendall greeted her screaming after a diaper change, so it took a minute to come out of her shell. When she did, she was so excited to hug her sis, pet her sis and kiss her tiny feet!

Then she got very excited about the buttons on the hospital "scary bed", so we spent the rest of the family meeting snuggled in bed with both girls, Mollie's Polly and Lamby.
Our first gathering as a family of four couldn't have gone better because we missed Mollie and were so excited to introduce her to Kendall. She was the perfect mix of excited and uninterested :) We pushed our luck a bit close to nap and ended the meeting with two screaming kiddos... a glimpse of our future. We are so excited!!

Our Little Miracle

Introducing the Hanratty family of four
And lastly, the newest proud big sister. Ready to love her little baby!
We couldn't be more overjoyed!

Go Time!

Dad and Mom showed up at the hospital for the big day, the introduction to our second child. To try to explain the emotions... I am at a loss for words.
We were lucky to have Grandma, Grandpa and Nana jump on planes and make it to the hospital for the big day. I can't explain how much it means to be surrounded by family and how blessed we were to have all of the grandparents there!! Thank you!

Papa and Grandma bring Mollie to wish us good luck. After some timid exploration of mama's IV and all of the machines, she brought laughter to the room by pretending to be pregnant too, gave mama some great cuddles and loved watching the monitor to see when the baby was kicking. It was the perfect lead-in to the big event!

What we've been waiting for... go time. Polly, we cannot wait to meet you!!

Happy Fourth of July!

Ready to celebrate Papa's big weekend!!
July 3rd - some fun in the water... being thrown off the new raft, slip 'n slide, then rides on the raft and the jet ski.

July 4th - Kicked off with a pancake breakfast, some golf cart decorating, then the highlight... the big parade. The kids figured out quickly if they waved to the floats, candy would be flying their way!

Happy with her stash of July 4th goodies...
Thank you to Nana and Papa for another successful July 4th celebration!
