A Week with Nana and Papa

While Mom and Dad went on their "second honeymoon" (courtesy of the bernstain bears) to St. Kitts, Mollie spent a fun week at Nana and Papa's house. While we definitely enjoyed our quality time, it was fun to receive updates from Nana with photos and events happening back home. The photo below was our favorite... we knew our girl was a happy camper. And our favorite text was that "Papa is a great scary mouse". Too bad we missed that vision!

Happy Birthday Daddy

Your 32nd year is going to be a great one. We love you very much and appreciate all of the big and little things you do for our family every day! We are so lucky to have you!
And thanks to the girls for helping decorate your cake (and somehow not eat all of the decorations while doing it :)

The Big Cupcake

We had attempt #2 on the giant cupcake today. Attempt #1 was much more beautiful (I still need to post the pics), but to the two year olds, todays effort seemed quite satisfactory in terms of taste. Mollie and Aidan were very serious when decorating...

And even more serious when it came to eating (almost the whole thing between the two of them!)

Deceptive Little Genius

Mollie chose laying in bed and playing on Mom's phone as opposed to breakfast the other day. In my current state, I need to eat the moment I wake up, so I left her in my bed with only one request - No watching Sleeping Beauty. She totally understood the rule, so when I returned to my room after my cereal and she was nowhere to be seen -

- I knew something was going on. Well, she knew she was breaking the rules, so she decided to hide out while doing it. Pretty impressive. When I blew her cover, she looked up at me and said "CHEESE!" -

Oh Mollie, what we have to look forward to!

How cool is my kid?!

We were eating dinner last night and the Packer game was on in the background. Out of nowhere (I don't think she even knew what game was on), she yells "GO Wisconsin"!

New Year, New Hanratty!

Baby H Jr. would like to announce its August 1st arrival date.

Big sister-to-be is VERY excited. Her response to the news was perfect. She said "I have a baby in my belly too. A different one. And Mommy, you're going to be the big brother!"

She woke up this morning and Ryan and I heard her yell "I'm going to be a big sister" from her bed. Judging by her practice with Lisa, Sara and Ariel (her dollies), she will be a fantastic big sister.

To say we are thrilled would be an understatement!

Mollie rang in the New Year with Ellie, her new two week old friend, some bubbly (she actually turned down n/a bubbly for milk), and some festive hats and blowers. Cheers to 2011... I can't wait to see what you have in store for us, Mollie!!
