Daddy's Away

Mollie sure has had a wonderful weekend while Daddy is out of town with the boys.

She spent Friday night at a slumber party at Nana and Papa's. They enjoyed kids night out and came home with huge smiles and tattoos to show for it! Thanks Nana and Papa!
Then on Saturday, she had some girl time with Mommy doing arts and crafts at the toy store, shopping and going out to lunch. For Mommy, the highlight was her wonderfully crafted bumble bee, for Mollie it was the cookie with sprinkles from lunch.

Then we had some princess time with her girlfriends that started out quietly, but quickly turned into a rock band! It was awesome to watch!

There actually was a point when all three girls were playing and singing together (hilarious), but we weren't lucky enough to capture it on film. Here is the best we have...
Miss you Daddy. We survived without you but are excited for you to come home!

Double Digits!

Only 99 days until...

1. We find out if we have a Patrick or Kendall.
2. Mollie finally fills her role as a helper and big sister.
3. We get to meet and snuggle the next addition to our family.
4. Charlie will have someone to guard in the crib that he has been sleeping next to every night.

Time can't go quickly enough. Cannot wait!

Easter Sunday

A great family day full of cousins, candy and charades (!?)
Mollie started the day with a big find from the Easter Bunny.

Then after church had our big hunt, some egg dying, a dance party, some QT with Aunt Meghan and Uncle Tyler, and last but not least, some animal charades. Alleluia! We are so very blessed.

Easter Eggs!

At this age, quantity = quality, so we hit up as many Easter egg hunts as we could. At the first one, it took Mollie a minute to get warmed up, but she has become the tazmanian devil of egg hunting, finishing strong with an overflowing basket at the later events!
You would think the sole highlight of these events would be the stash of treats to bring home, but we were surprised to see Mollie light up and dash across the field to jump into the arms of the Easter Bunny. WOW, she couldn't have been more excited to meet him!
After she met him, she decided to dress up like him herself. She ran around the house saying, "Want to hug the Easter Bunny?" and "the Easter Bunny is wearing high heels!" We even found her sneaking on the bunny ears at 9pm last night after she was sound asleep.
Hunt #4 - With her favorite cousins in our backyard. Here they wait patiently for the green light.
Willing to go the distance for that one green egg

Happy with their loot!

Sorting it out with Nana
Cheese!
Hunt #3 - Lake Kiowa and their 6,000 eggs. I believe Mollie got 1/4 of them!

Hunt #2 - Her preschool class. They're sitting still because they haven't attacked the sugar in their baskets yet.

Now for the sugar...
Hunt #1 - Neighborhood Hunt. She learned very quickly what this whole thing was about... and kept going back for more bunny hugs.

Like all holidays, you don't realize how fun they can be until you celebrate with a 2 year old. This was the most exciting Easter month ever!

Kiowa Time

A great Good Friday at Lake Kiowa. The three big highlights were
1. Going "faster" on the jet ski and boat
2. A polar bear swim
3. Daddy sailing
It all started with toes in the water and clothes on.

I'm sure you could guess how the story ended.
Brrrr!
Success!

How Cool, Uncle Josh thought of me in Brazil!

Mollie was so excited to get a teddy bear treat from Uncle Josh, that she took the opportunity to goof around with it on her head and model the many faces of Mollie Hanratty.
