Gavin Michael's in the house

Our (almost) birthday buddy cousins finally met this morning. They were holding hands and talking to each other within seconds.

Oh, and there were the smiles too!

Unfortunately (and fortunately), the moms weren't able to stay to enjoy the banter, as we passed the reins to Papa to go enjoy a luncheon with the ladies. Papa walked in the room and had the babies full attention.

And cracked them up too!

Thanks to Nana for hosting lunch, and to Papa for making it possible for us to get there!

Lunch Date

Mollie had her carpool buddy, 4 year old Luke, over for lunch and has never sat still for so long during a meal. Just the two of them outside, uninterrupted. She must have respect for her elder friends (I stress friends because she isn't having much respect for her elders in general).

Kendall is Two Months Old

At two months, Kendall and her deep blue eyes are smiling all the time, cooing, kicking, brightening our days and sleeping through the night. She tipped the scale at 13lbs 12.8 oz and is 24inches long. Off the charts in both categories.

Love you so much baby girl. You are growing up too fast!

Retiring the Newborn Clothes

I put our big girl to bed in my favorite pjs for the last time last night. Goodbye adorable newborn clothes, hello to six - nine months outfits for this tall babe. Can't wait to get the stats at her two month appointment this week.

I mentioned she loves her sister

She wants to feed her, give her bath, get on her play mats, change her diapers, hold her, hug her. Kendall is a lucky little sis (or at least she will be when she's older :)

What a way to start a Sunday morning!

3 year old happy Mollie

Mollie still makes me laugh every day. She still rolls around on the floor giggling like she did when she was a little babe. She says the most hilarious things. I want to follow her around with a video camera, because it's almost less what she actually says, but more the way she says it. She blows us away. We wonder where she learns her phrases. She recites entire nursery rhymes and finishes sentences in her books. The first thing she says when she wakes up in the morning is "Where's Kendall?". She loves her little sister. She has a wonderful imagination telling us what movies she was watching while sleeping during her nap and role playing friends and teachers in the playroom every day.My favorites from this week were -

~"I love you soooo much in the whole wide world"

~"Oopsie Daisy"

~Holding up a green jumper "This is Kendall's Notre Dame shirt for the Fighting Irish"

~I found her unpacking and re-packing her overnight bag. She said "I'm putting some new stuff in here so Nana, Papa and Mollie can go on a short adventure".

~"Is that a perfect plan?!" Her comment that follows any sort of negotiations.

~When I asked her to tell her sister about her day at school, she turned to her and said "Good".

~ When an airplane flew overhead, she said "that airplane is going to Wisconsin. I want to go on an airplane and go to Wisconsin to see Grandma and Grandpa"

You are something else Mollie!!! Thanks for all the sunshine you bring!

and most importantly, the merry-go-round. Mollie LOVES the merry-go-round! We had our first family outing. We went to the zoo and Mollie marvels at the merry-go-round while Mom and Dad marvel at the animals and Kendall sleeps. Success!
