Let the Gifts Begin

Mollie and Kendall opened their first birthday presents today from Mom and Dad, then went on to enjoy them outside on this sunny summer day.  Mollie was so excited, she did some dancing before she even made it outside into the pool. 

ONE. WOW!

Our baby girl is ONE. 

Our little love who likes to roughhouse on the floor with Daddy, cuddle Mommy and be carried around laughing by big sis in ONE.  Our little one who loves to bob her head and shake her hips whenever she hears a beat, who sings like choir practice at meals, who squeals with joy when we come to get you in the morning and when we blow raspberries on your belly, who loves to peak a boo with admirers, and who screams when you take something away from her is ONE.  

Our little KK isn't little any more.
So with a tear in my eye and a smile in my heart, we will pack up the bottles and baby blankets and pull out the walking shoes and sippy cups.

  

Kendall, it seems like years ago we welcomed you into the world at the hospital, brought you home to your cozy nursery and you made us a family of four.  It seems like you have always been here with us.  You complete our family.  We love you and are so grateful for the sunshine and laughter you bring to our family!  

We can't wait to see what this goofy, feisty, sunshiny beauty becomes!

We are so glad we have another try at a birthday celebration for you next weekend, because attempt #1 wasn't the biggest hit :)

TOMORROW!

This beautiful baby girl is turing ONE tomorrow.  

Tonight I was trying to cry, but she made me laugh.  While I was fighting a very emotional moment,  giving her her last bottle and rocking her to bed, she laughed so hard, sang so loud, nuzzled in so tight, that I couldn't help but glow!  You are amazing little one.  An amazing year it has been!

Summer Fun

A week full of dressing up with friends, graduation at swimming lessons, the little kiddos park, papa, forts and smiles in the bath.

Cruising

Last week was a big week... this is the next step towards walking, the one milestone that makes my baby seem like much less of a baby.  Exciting, but emotional too. 

We all scream for ice cream!

A wonderful weekend at the lake with all five Dallas cousins.  

The parents were outnumbered, but were able to distract them momentarily with Papa's new ice cream maker :)

Sunday Funday!

We enjoyed an overcast day at Katy Trail Ice House and the Zoo today.  Kendall and Mollie drew quite a crowd with Kendall's head bobbing to the beat on the table, and Mollie's dancing around the patio.  Perfect summer family day!
