God's country it truly is!
And our kids were in heaven!
Check out the big smiles and the bright blue skies.
I can honestly say this trip had many top lifetime moments for me!
First and foremost, our first family vacation with just the four of us. Something I will never forget.
After that, the list gets a bit longer...
We kicked off the trip with some family sledding at the base of Copper mountain.
One in hog heaven. Snow angels, snow balls, sledding.
One not sure what to think.
Then they started to figure it out...
When Kendall started to freeze, Mollie and I hit the tubing hill. A moment I'll never forget, laughing and screaming down the tubing run in the dark with the big snowflakes and my trusty sidekick enjoying it just as much as me, screaming for more!
Daddy got his go with her the next morning.
We made sure to hit up apres ski for live music and libations!
And bloodys and hot cocoas for brunch.
Kendall really found her smile when we found the ice rink for some Mollie/Daddy skate time. Mollie and Daddy made their way around the rink while Kendall learned how to walk in her snow boots on the ice.
Then we wandered around the village. This kid was thrilled with her new boots were made for walking skills!
Oh wait, there's more?! I had almost forgotten we were there to ski after a few days of other snow fun, then we were given the gift of child care/ski school.
Mollie, we couldn't have been more proud than seeing you give us the thumbs up as you did your hops and pizza down the ski hill under tons of snow! That excitement outweighs the brutal exhaustion that followed as we skied down the mountain as a family :)
You capped off our trip perfectly when you begged to ski again as we headed to the airport. That means we did our job pretty girl... introducing you to the love of skiing! And the bonus of me getting to ski with your Dad while we did so... priceless!
I won't say this wasn't one of the most exhausting trips of my life, but it really was one of the best. Worth every drop of sweat and tear of exhaustion. Love you little ladies and cheers to our snowy memories!
