Girl Scout Campout

 A wonderful weekend exploring with my strong, fun girl scout.  I hope I pass on my wanderlust to you sweet girl... judging by watching you canoeing and feeding the longhorns, I think I already have.

It was so much fun to watch you laughing and learning with your friends.  Thanks for the cuddles and for forcing me to get on stage for the whip/nee nee competition.  Wish I could have one that one for you!

Olympic Dreamers

Turns out we have some big USA Gymnastics fans!

So we grabbed the nose bleed seats to the Olympic tour when it came through Dallas.

The girls squinted and recognized every gymnast doing their specialty and were up out of their seats dancing for the glow in the dark bar and dance routines.

It was a blast, and such a great flashback to when my Mom took me to Milwaukee to watch the Olympians of my time.

 Cheers!

 And cheers to the best gymnast of all time flying through the air in front of our very own eyes!

I guess my girls are Texans

Because as much as I don't want to go to the state fair, they sure do.

Kendall had her ears plugged for most of the sensory overload, but the cotton candy was enough to make the whole day worth it.

 Mollie hit up every fun house in the place, and scored on the midway with her biggest prize yet... a giant pug.

Still not sold on this tradition, but we'll do it for you ladies :)

 And at least we hit up Mom and Dad's favorite place after!!

The Biggest Heart

This girl! She hears of others hurting, and wants to fix it.

She organized another art sale the minute she heard of flooding in Louisiana and all of those that lost their homes.

This time she made flyers and handed them out, and the hoards came as soon as they heard about it.  She was sold out in two days, and the gift cards were in the mail to the needy families the next week.

A Family Fall Day...

Or two... our new favorite place has hours of entertainment for enjoying the crisp fall air!

So we went Friday and Sunday :)

A wicked checkers battle, UNO, Guess Who, some tag and some yummy eats and treats.

We enjoyed every minute of being together as a family, enjoying our big girls, and the fresh air as we could take in... all with THAT VIEW!

The family baby is ONE!

We celebrated by enjoying the babe, the fall weather and Grandpa's Pizza Oven.

Absolute perfection!

Fall is (almost) here!

Ok, so it was 90 today! But it's supposed to be 70 tomorrow, and the pumpkins are out, so we are pretending... and we will be celebrating the cold front tomorrow!
