2018, We are coming for you!!!

Happy New Year from this crew.  The girls hung until Midnight to ring in 2018 for their first time ever.  We had a big family countdown as we watched the ball drop.

Cheers to closing down an absolutely wonderful year full of so many firsts as we watch these girls grow, and so many of our very favorite traditions.  2017 was magic.

I cannot wait to see what 2018 brings with these growing girls, who never cease to amaze us!

Christmas dinner, more presents and excitement, and the Christmas evening theatre came at the Butler house.  Dessert isn't served until the performance it complete.  And they earned their dessert :)

It wasn't so much a Silent Night, but we definitely had our fun on this Holy Night.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

And this morning was MERRY indeed!

There is nothing like the magic of a Christmas morning with little girls.

These girls are getting big before our eyes, but on this day, they run top speed into our room in the dark, ready to tear down the hall and see what Santa chose for them.

And we watch them, and enjoy the wonder through their eyes.

Magic! 

Now onto the next celebration!

Christmas Eve is HERE!

What a way to start the day.  With a special delivery at the front door!  

This day is one of my favorite of the year, and it was as magical as I could have imagined! 

From an early church service with a camel walking down the aisle, to the lobster race, to braiding Challah bread we were able to enjoy during dinner, to happy hour with both sets of Grandparents together, a little family bocce, Christmas Carols around the piano, concluding with the kids reading "T'was the Night before Christmas to the adults this year.  Absolute Perfection!  We packed in each and every tradition we've built as a family and was grateful for every minute.  Counting my blessings this day and every day.  Amen!!!!

And to all a good night.  Merry Christmas Crew!  We love you!

Meant a special date night for Mom and Dad.

And for both of you, it made your top five Christmas memories!

You went ice skating, watched movies, made blankets for the homeless, made Christmas gifts for us (yippee), made everyone's favorite poppyseed bread, and cuddled with Grandma and Grandpa.

You lucky ladies!

(And lucky mom and dad too.  We enjoyed dressing up, dinner, friends and dancing together :)

OH WHAT FUN

... it is to ride, in a one horse open sleigh!

One of our favorite traditions got better this year when the girls got a turn to "drive" the carriage!
