Squeezing every last ounce out of summer!

We had the BEST last week of summer, toasting with cookies, Shirley Temples, cuddles, movies, swimming and bowling. We relished every last minute of relaxing, pajama days and playing and it was absolutely fabulous. It brings tears to my eyes to think about getting back to reality tomorrow after what has been such a joyful, exciting summer with my two very best sidekicks!

Attempted Sleep over

Mollie's bucket list had a sleepover with sis. I think we checked that off the list by sharing a room, but I thought it would be a special treat to try sharing a bed in the last week before early wake up calls. It was a cute 2.5 hour attempt, but after all the cuddles, the laughter started, then the talking... so they didn't make it through the night. Mollie was super disappointed since she had packed her new stuffy, but I think they enjoyed the few quiet hours of sister bonding in the dark!

End of Summer Treat

Mollie has been begging for a trip to Chuck E Cheese all summer, so as summer draws to a close (and our AC is out), I thought it would be a special treat! AND IT WAS!

Happy 7th Birthday Mollie!!!!!!!

Mollie woke up to balloons and streamers as a smiling seven year old, and went to bed after celebrating with all of her Dallas family, an ice cream cake, awesome surprises and a cupcake piñata! Between a celebration in Madison, the Fort Worth adventure, and the family shindig in Dallas, I'm thinking this one is feeling special!! And special you are sweet girl. You are the child that made us parents, seven years ago. Truly, the most amazing thing that has ever happened to us! And now you've grown into a hilarious, witty, smart, thoughtful young lady. It's so much fun to be around you because you never know what will come next or what we might learn from you. We've enjoyed the Mollie festival... happy 7th birthday sweet girl! Can't wait to see what this next year brings!
