Santa came early...

and my two year old won't wake up. I heard Santa on the roof top and have been up with excitement since 6 am, and here it is 8:30 and my teenage daughter is sleeping in! I can't handle the excitement!

MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM THE HANRATTYS!

Hope this makes you smile, because the three of us cannot stop cracking up when we watch it!

The Real Thing!

Santa was back in Dallas for a pre-Christmas visit. Mollie had been calling him on the phone all week saying "Hi Santa. Can I please have a grocery cart for Christmas.... yes.... mhhmmm...thanks. Bye"! Needless to say, she was VERY excited to sit on his lap and talk to him today. She was a little more shy about her wish list in person than over the phone, but she still flashed a smile and asked for more Santa a couple minutes after the visit was over.

Below are our previous two visits. Mollie has changed a bit more than Santa :)
And more from today, here is the big glow...
some discussion about his visit...

and a shot with her bud, Kennedy...
Merry Christmas!

SANTA!

Mollie and Dad paid a visit to Santa this morning. For so many reasons, this pic cracks me up!

Mollie's Nutcracker Audition Video

Ever since our girl's trip to the Nutcracker with Nana, Kelly and Madeline last weekend, Mollie has been requesting the Nutcracker music, her sugar plum fairy tutu, and has put together a serious routine. I'm pretty sure the Dallas Ballet Company would want her on their team if they saw this... Notice how she really turns it on when what she calls "the ballerina music" comes on. It has gotten even more intense today, but I haven't caught it on video yet!
Oh, and I should mention that Mollie did a great job for a two year old at the Nutcracker. I didn't realize she'd be so inquisitive, and wanted to know "where the nutcracker go" or "where the mouse go". Those questions were drowned out by the loud music of the first act. Other than that, only a mild tantrum at the intermission and one loud laugh (more like a cackle), at a silent moment in the second act. Not bad!

Gingerbread houses

We started a new Christmas tradition with Mollie's best buddy, and the results were fantastic, especially if you take into account how much was eaten during the creation of the project!
