We're ready for you Polly!

With just less than a month, specifically 26 days to go, we're officially ready for Polly. OK, we've been ready for months, but now there is literally nothing else I can do to keep myself busy in terms of nesting. The basinette is beautiful and clean and ready to snuggle the sweet baby.
In terms of me, I'm running out of space in my belly. After the growth spurt of the century, Polly went from an estimated 4.3 lbs (34th %) to 6.9 lbs. (80th %) in 3 weeks. At our sonogram today, the babe was estimated at 5.11 (22%). Needless to say, in addition to the gender, the size of our baby is no doubt going to be a big surprise :) All I know is I'm ready for the big introduction, and so is big sister Mollie, who is still fighting us on baby names.

"I will be soooo sad"

says Mollie as I explain that her best bud is moving far away.

I cry as I write that it is a sad day for the Hanrattys as we are losing some of our best friends to Los Angeles. Mollie and Aidan have grown up since babies when we met walking our week old babies.
They are three days apart, little besties in the making. It is heartwarming to watch them interact, say "please" and "thank you", "i'm sorry" and "it's ok", play dress up, chase each other around a room, belly laugh and give the longest hugs you've ever seen. They play together better than anyone and love each other so much. We will sincerely miss them as Mollie wakes up and asks for him to come over after almost every nap.

Here is their tear jerking goodbuy hug!

We will miss you friends!

"I am your best girl, and you love me soooooo much"

Well, she is right on! Glad she knows it. My sweet Mollie warms my heart... and makes me laugh...

Not only my best girl, but the best dancer!!!

Happy Father's Day

to the best Daddy a little girl could ever ask for! Thank you for all the laughing, reading, tickling, swimming... for building forts, for being Donald Duck, for all of the adventures! Mollie is so lucky to have a fun, giving, caring, loving Dad!
We had a wonderful day of celebrating Dad with donuts, gifts, swimming and homemade lasagna.

Here is Mollie divvying out the donuts.
"You wouldn't"

"You did!"
"Your turn"

A big kiss for Daddy!
We finished the day by a joint attempt (Mom and Mollie) at making Nana's famous lasagna for Dad. It turns out the third time is a charm (or maybe Mollie is the charm) and it tasted fantastic.
Cheers to you and all you do for us Daddy. As Mollie said in the morning "Happy Father's Day Daddy, thanks for being the greatest Daddy!"
