I will go out on a limb and say "you cannot beat Madison in the summer".
Girls - we crammed in every activity this great city has to offer in two short weeks.
It was spectacular. Extraordinary, as Mollie would say!
In addition to Mollie's highlight of swimming in six different places, we joined the happy masses around the square at the Farmer's Market, Art Fair on the Square, Concerts on the Square and Maxwell Street Days. We also ventured out of town to swim on the sandbars of the Wisconsin River, visit the home of the Ringling Brothers at Circus World Museum, and visit Great Grandma in La Crosse. We climbed to the top of the state capitol and celebrated the two upcoming birthdays. And the best highlights were right in our backyard sailing with the girls on the Cutty JARK and taking a plunge into Lake Mendota, working in the garden and dancing to the live music at the Union Terrace. There are too many pics and too many memories to count... but girls, I hope you always remember these summer trips as some of the best moments of your life. Your big smiles and adventurous spirits during all of these outings are some of the best of mine! Thanks Grandmy and Grandpy, for everything!!
