Tree Time!

We had a first timer put the start on the top this year!

 Although we broke tradition picking out the tree, we're enjoying the fact that it's the prettiest tree we've ever had!  Had a ball decorating and reading around the new tree!  HAPPY HAPPY HOLIDAYS. I can't believe it's Christmas time!

Adventures of Finding a Tree

Due to the craziest rain ever, we had to scrap one of our favorite traditions of the year, and go to Plan B for finding our Christmas tree. Actually, we ended up on Plan C.

We started with an attempt at Plan B, where the girls at least enjoyed some hay bails and a maze. 

BUT, Plan C brought us to Lowe's, where we picked out a tree we could barely see and threw it in the trunk in about 10 minutes.  Still got some smiles, and ended up with the most beautiful tree we've had yet. Might be hard to resist turning this into a tradition ;) luckily I have a hard time turning down hot cocoa and a hayride, so we will be back at the Chrstimas tree from with our saw next year!

Hanratty Open 2015

We took a little break from tradition due to the rental house, and headed to the Butler's house for an awesome family Thanksgiving celebration.  The rain didn't slow us down, it just moved the festivities inside (and into the garage).  Lots of laughter from cousins, too much good food, and a trophy for 1st place in the bags tourney from grandpa and me.  Another successful year of celebrating all we have to be grateful for with each and every member of our awesome family.

Seattle

We thought the ladies what a last minute getaway is all about by picking up and heading to Seattle for the weekend before Dad's monday work meeting.  And it was SO much fun!!  The rain didn't slow us down from enjoying lots of laughs with cousins, museum visits, live music, hikes and LOTS of cuddles! There is nothing quite like this magical place.... and cousins of course!

Mollie's First Girl Scout Campout

I'd have to write pages to explain how special it was to spend a whole weekend watching this girl try new things and meet new friends!  To go "real" camping.  To sleep in the bunk below her and hear her laughing with her friends above me in the morning.  You are growing up so fast, and I just feel so lucky that you're still glad to share in these memories with your mom.  I loved sharing them with you!
