Even More Easter

Third is a charm.  Mollie really hit the ground running on hunt #3 for the weekend! She had TONS of eggs when it was over.  With this amount of sweets and all of these hunts, I see why this is Mollie's favorite holiday!

Baby Blues in the Bath

Kendall doesn't take baths to get clean, she takes them as part of play time.  

Kendall LOVES splashing and entertaining herself in the bathtub.  

I have no complaints about this as her new desire for self-feeding creates quite the mess.

Happy Baby, Happy Dog

She wants to be held all day, but when it comes to eating, she prefers to do it on her own.  She gets frustrated with being spoon fed mush, so I'm trying to branch out.  Today we tried banana and bread.  Both were a hit.  I caught the sneaky little one feeding Charlie half a banana and half of her bread when I turned my back.  Kendall and Charlie were very pleased.

Easter has Begun!

The look of pure joy!  

Mollie's favorite holiday has begun and she is thrilled.  She has been asking "Is it Easter?" every morning for a month.  It kicked off today with the Easter Egg Hunt at school.  She didn't skip a beat grabbing 2/3 off all of the class eggs then proceeding to eat 1/2 of those :)  More hunting to come in the next two weeks!

8 Months Old

8 Months old... ALREADY?!  Part of me is so sad to see the sweet baby disappearing before my eyes, but the veteran mom part knows that there is nothing but fun around the corner, that each phase gets more fun (and dare I say easier) and that the best part, the sisterly love, will just continue to get better and better!

There is the fact that she wants to be held all day and rocked to sleep to help the sweet baby part stick around a bit.  Other than those few things, she has five teeth, some wonderfully loud squeals and babbles, a big vocabulary of mamas, babas, dadas and lalas, pretty much pulls to standing on her own and wants to spend all day there, and has quite a stubborn streak!  If she wants to be held and you put her down, she will cry until you pick her up.  If she wants to stand and you sit her down, same thing.  As a result, she currently spends most of her day in my arms or standing and laughing with her bestie, big sisty.

At 8 months, this sweet girl is a little more challenging than her big sis was, but her smile is just as big, she just might make you work for it!

NOLA

 While Mom and Dad tore up the town in New Orleans, Mollie and Kendall enjoyed a weekend away at Nana and Papa's house.  They stayed busy with trips to the office, golf course, lots of time outside in the sun and capped it off with a slumber party with cousin Madeline.  Can't beat that for a weekend away.  Many thanks to Nana and Papa for cuddling our little ladies (even at 2am!) and keeping them safe and sound!
