Our little fish

Mollie finished her first series of swimming classes today. This was REAL swimming classes. Not the dancing and singing classes we did last year. This was jump off the side and swim underwater to mom, swimming through hoops under water, floating on a noodle by yourself and of course, a lot of kicking. Mollie LOVED it. She had so much fun and was sooo good at it. She was always smiling and always the one they used for demonstrations. Of course, she has little fear, which made it interesting when she was supposed to hold on to me... and didn't want to. We had so much fun. Cheers to a summer of swimming big girl! I am so proud of you.

And here are some pics of her getting ready for swim class by piling on about 8 of my swim suits. Cute.

And her in action with all of her gear on.

Tea Party

While Mom, Dad and Aunt Kelly were at the Cubs game, Madeline and Mollie had a tea party with Nana. Oh so fancy!! Thanks to Nana and Papa for giving the parents a fun Sunday and watching all three kids!

Family Saturday, Part II

After the farmer's market, we planted our veggies and herbs. Mollie was helpful and excited!

Family Saturday

We had a great family day starting with Mollie making friends with the biggest dog/horse ever at Starbucks, then we walked around uptown and hit up the Farmer's Market to plan our garden.

Playdate with the Mangums!

The recently expanded Mangum clan came over to check out the backyard fun. Mollie wanted to be VERY helpful with baby Steele!

Sunday FunDay!

Mollie stuck it out for over three hours of Sunday FunDay at Social House with Auntie Anne and Uncle Josh. She had so much fun making friends with the tables next to us and exploring West Village. Cheers!

YUMMY!

Mollie helped celebrate my extended birthday with an amazing cupcake kit... a variety of cupcakes, frostings and toppings to be put together however you please. Unfortunately, she wanted to eat the frosting instead of put it on the cupcake.

Here's the final product...

Horse Party

The always wonderful horse party turned into a dress-up party. Apparently the girls thought that after there was no more horse races to entertain, they needed to do so. As always, they were fantastic entertainment!

And there were even some snuggles after the show :)

Flashback to last week's dance party

Here are Mollie and Sofie showcasing their moves at Emerald City last week. One of my favorites!

Lake Weekend - Day #2 - Wind and Rain

Not the most gorgeous day at the lake, but Dad was able to sneak in a few holes with his helper, Mollie!

Lake Weekend - Day #1 - Sunshine

Mollie had SO much fun at the lake last weekend. She had her two buddies, Case and Cole, to play with and is enjoying all of the adventures that come with age... her first time tubing behind the boat, digging sand castles, swimming at the beach. She loved it all and we loved watching her!

We had some fun Mom and Dad time on the boat...

And loved every second of the attention from and adventure with the boys!

Happy Mother's Day

What a treat it was to pick up Mollie and have her run to me with a rose in hand. Mollie, I love being your Mama! You are my sunshine!

Cheers to my Mom, Mother-in-law, sister-in-law and friends who are amazing role models, inspirations as parents, and support systems! You can't beat this job.

Cool Thursdays

Mollie got her second big chance to stay up late tonight at the Cool Thursdays Concert Series at the Arboretum. It really is the best Dallas has to offer with live music on the big lawn overlooking the lake. Mollie was a champ, laughing and dancing with Sofie, and making friends with everyone around us. She was the hit of the party!
