See you Second Grade!

This first born of ours is going to be in THIRD GRADE!

Mollie finished second grade with so many happy smiles, an award for being a top reader, and tears from having to say "Goodbye" to another favorite teacher.  

They also went out on a bang with our traditional end of year pool party!

As many tears as I could shed to my kids getting older... I'm also thrilled that it's 

SUMMER!!!!!

And for the next two months it is time for me and the girls to cuddle and relax and enjoy!

But still... third grade... WHAT?!

Reading Restaurant

We got to dine at Mollie's Reading Restaurant this morning.  The service was impeccable, and the work was even more impressive. Mollie had worked hard all year to develop an offering of books for us to order and enjoy as she was our waitress.  Such a special morning being a part of her classroom and all of her hard work for the year.

I told you there was more emotion than Mom can handle this month. 

THIS GIRL! My baby, is off to St. Rita next year!

She graduated from her sweet pre-school, after receiving the award for always smiling, and walked out to all of the proud parents and teachers clapping her class out of the building to celebrate the great year!  Kendall, I could not be more proud of the ray of sunshine you are and everything that you've learned at this wonderful school.   I know you're going to miss it, because you told me "its' the best place in the whole wide world", and I'm going to miss having you with me until 9 every morning, and an extra hour of special time when I pick you up! But, only excitement is ahead for you at St. Rita, and your sister couldn't be more excited to have you with her next year.  Although *tear* I remember the day I first dropped both of you off here together when you were two.

Our Last Quiet Pre-School Morning

Your mama can't write this without many tears, but this morning was a big day because it was our last of one of my very favorite traditions.  KK and Mom time after everyone leaves the house.  We cuddle in bed, read books, have dance parties, go to the coffee shop, enjoy breakfast together, or sometimes I just listen to you play and smile at your amazing imagination.

KK, you have no idea how special this time has been for me.  I will miss you so much next year when you are off loving St. Rita with your big sis.  And with that, the tears are flowing....

You might notice I'm getting emotional about our morning cuddles coming to an end soon with preschool graduation looming.  Thank goodness I have every morning of summer with you!!
