My Joy

This little light of mine... she always shines. I wanted to document a few of my favorite things that our little girl is doing right now!

At dinner time, she holds her hands up in the air and insists with a big smile "HOLD HANDS", then she says "prayer" and we all hold hands and sing the lord is good to me with the biggest smile on her face!

One of my many dreams come true - she asks me to play "Sunshine" on the piano, then she says "mollie dances" and does her ballet while I'm playing the piano, just like I used to do while my dad played the piano!

She asks for tea parties every day because she now associates the fancy occasion with a chance for ice cream.

She won't go to bed with out Charlie in her room. "Charlie sleep Mollie sleep."

She has to stand up in front of her classroom to say "Mollie is special", so now when we ask her about it, she says "Mommy is special, Daddy is special".

Most importantly, she's really honing her command skills. Yesterday she said in full conversation mode with almost perfect grammar, "Mommy come back here, to the playroom, and sit here (patting the floor) next Mollie". She was proud of herself (I was too)!

And just to crack me up, she woke up singing "happy birthday to you" to herself yesterday morning. She finished the whole song and then asked for presents :)

Mollie, thanks for making our day every day and for having the biggest, brightest smile! Love you!

Good with words

Mollie has always been good with her words, blowing us away every day saying the darndest things! She made me smile today two separate times. Specifically because I don't know where she learned these things.

1. "My mommie's so happy. My daddy's so happy". Love you happy girl!
2. caught on camera...

Weekend with the boys

Mollie had her favorite boys at the lake house this weekend. She couldn't have been happier showing off her waterskiing skills or holding the fish that they caught... just like one of the boys!

Wischmeyer

Mollie went to go visit the Wischmeyer Offices that she talks about every day. She loved rolling around under Daddy's desk and pounding on his keyboard and Daddy loved showing off his star.

Mollie's First Eye Doctor

Mollie has had the month of torture with her two year appointment (which meant shots AND blood draw), her first dentist appointment and today, her first eye doctor. The eye doctor was the most pleasant. She was excited to sit in the big, special chair, and she even did a good job of rockin' her glasses after because her pupils were dilated.

Ballerina or Bus Driver?

Friday is the best day of the week! Mollie LOVES ballet. She has learned her days of the week and starts asking for Friday on Monday!

The best place for a tea party!

Mollie had Cate over for lunch, and for dessert they had a tea party in her play house. She has asked for one every day since!

First Day of School

Mollie had her first day at co-op pre-school. That means lucky Mama gets to help out once a month and check out the school scene. I tried to get her to hold up a sign to document her first day, but she was too excited to cooperate. Here she is running away from me, and then I finally got a picture of her posed smile when she was hostage :)

Rainy Day in Dallas

Mollie is loving the rain storms, specifically the thunder, and opportunity to wear boots!

Somewhere over the rainbow

In perfect Mollie form, here she is, peacefully observing her first beautiful rainbow...
... and after she takes it all in, SHE DANCES!

Mollie had a big week with her first dentist appointment, and meeting her teacher prior to the start of school next week. Outcomes were great on both. She also told me this week that she didn't want to go to the grocery store. When I told her w had no food and asked her what we would eat for dinner, she said "restaurant". Mama is so proud :)
