Yet, we are into traditions, so...

We still had to hayride out into the fields and saw down a Christmas tree.
The fun this year was we were able to save a Charlie Brown since she was going outside.

 Here she is.

We sawed a fair amount off the bottom...

And maybe a little too much off the top...

Alas, she's still a beautiful sight from the breakfast table

I love traditions.
Thanks family, for humoring one of my very favorites!

The newest member of our family

This year, we learned Mollie is super allergic to all trees, so to spare her a month of sickness and sleepless nights, we moved to the dark side.  We bought a fake tree.  And she's a beauty.  And we had the best morning decorating our new tree in our new house for our first family Christmas on Lavendale!  I'm overflowing with joy and gratitude!  MERRY MERRY!!!

Our littlest member is finally big enough to join in the rotation!!!!! Nice work on the star KK!

Hanratty Open

SO SO SO much to be thankful for!
Happy Thanksgiving! One of our favorite family holidays involved our annual trip to the Turkey Trot and The Hanratty Open with the Dallas contingent.  The big hit this year was the big kids being a part of the bags tourney, and more importantly, THE WINNERS!  There were some big smiles as they marched around with their trophies.

Cheers to family, tradition, and the Cubs making a good run this year... hence the amazing tee shirts!

UH OH! Christmas is creeping into our house.

Thanksgiving is tomorrow, so I decided to start organizing the Christmas bins for the day after.
And look what happened.  The girls found their tree and daddy showed up with quite the surprise!
I guess you could say we are feeling the holiday spirit!

Locks of Love

This morning Kendall was off to school and Mollie was home for Thanksgiving break.
I asked her what she wanted to do for some special Mom/Mollie time.
She said, I want to cut my hair off and donate it to children with cancer.
So we put it in two braids, and went to have them both cut off.
This kind, generous girl said the more you cut, the more I can donate, so she cut off two 12" braids and donated them to locks of love.
She looks GORGEOUS with her new bob, and has attracted lots of attention.  She even received an Awesome Christian award at school for her generosity.  We could not be more proud of your giving heart Mollie!

My Shopping Buddies

You ladies crack me up the whole time.  Loved the photo shoot right in the middle of the patio section!  As always, would be lost without my fav sidekicks.

The sun is out, and so are the hanrattys!
