Kendall is ten months old!!!

One year is right around the corner, so I'm enjoying every baby cuddle that is left.

Kendall is getting very busy crawling around, pulling up, waving, clapping, high-fiving, laughing, talking, and our new favorite... dancing!  She loves finding the beat and bopping around when she hears tunes.  Our other favorite - "choir practice", as Papa calls dinner hour with Kendall.  She is a sneaky little one, hiding behind her big smile when she blatantly disregards the rules.  Feeding Charlie is her favorite rebellious act :)

Water skiing, jumping off the boat, golf cart and jet ski rides, beach time and sleepover with our cousins.  Not much sleep, lots of smiles!  Successful holiday weekend!

"She's the happiest baby I've ever babysat"

Said Laura on her first day back with us for the summer.  Laura, we're so glad to have you back, especially Kendall who really couldn't stop smiling all day!

School's Out for Summer!

After a couple hours of this...
We recovered and hit the backyard sunshine to celebrate summer!

"I'm SO excited for Pre-K"

yells Mollie as we're pulling up to the Teddy Bear Picnic.  I guess the kids weren't as emotional as the moms on the last day of school.  I had tears in my eyes as we said "Goodbye" to Mrs. Chandler and Ms. Smith who hugged Mollie and thanked her for having such a sweet heart!

Last Week of School

I can't believe it, but this is Mollie's last week of school as a "Beginner".  They make the last week fun with "Pajama Day" on Monday, "Tacky Tuesday" and "Cool Wednesday" (left to right).  And it is Teddy Bear week, so they can bring their lovey to use in various lessons throughout the week, and cap it off with  "Teddy Bear Picnic" tomorrow.
Mollie has gone from a daily reward chart to coach good behavior, to "a thoughtful, sweet spirit that is a delight to teach".  Her teachers almost laughed when they told me she has become quite the rule follower, always checking in with the rules before she starts something new.  I am so proud of you Mollie and can't get over how much you've grown into a smart, sassy, hilarious little girl and a good friend!  I love you!  Pre-K here we come.

What a treat to come home to!

I am eating up every second of these precious little faces that were waiting for us at the airport (thanks Nana!!).  I am stealing as many hugs as possible, hanging on every word, soaking up every moment, and BLOWN AWAY BY THE CHANGES!  Mollie is now ELEVEN :) and Kendall is CRAWLING, WAVING, HIGH FIVING, and CLAPPING!  I guess the encouragement of a village can make a lot of progress!!!
We've been building forts, planting veggies, swimming and just trying to keep us with these two our first week back home.
