Your first communion

May God Bless you Kendall Hanratty.
Today, on your first communion, and every day!
Another covid Plan B, and this one was incredible.  Although it is sad you didn't get to take your first communion with your whole grade, we were able to schedule a private ceremony and all of your Dallas family was able to be there... and you are able to share it with one of your best friends.
You radiate light, sweet girl, and today was no different!
You are such a blessing from above!

Happiest 12th birthday to our girl

Mollie is 12!!!!
Another pandemic birthday, but we found so many ways to celebrate you.  From a tie-die cupcake and tee shirt party in Colorado, to bundt cakes and tubing on the boat with friends.... from a happy birthday donut breakfast, to a smash cake dessert... from virtual birthday wishes from your friends via "vid-hug" to blue moon with Nana and Papa.... we had a blast celebrating you and your last year pre-teen.

And your wish came true... you got a phone!  You are growing up so quickly before our very eyes.
We are proud of the girl you have become. Most importantly, we are grateful for the low key, quality  quarantine family time we enjoyed with you before you entered these teen years.  We are grateful for the dance parties, bike rides, late night badminton games and family TV nights.  They were such as gift, as we know right around the corner, you'll be fastening on your wings!

We are proud of how we made it through the pandemic together and look forward to watching you return to the things you love so much... friends and volleyball are right around the corner.  Cheers to the year ahead sweet, bright, hilarious Molly Jolly.
We love you!

Hope this is the start of another amazing year Mollie.  We love you!

Colorado Summer - Quarantine Escape #5

Well, this will be our last quarantine escape.  And one of the best ones yet.
While in Colorado, we made the decision that you will go back to school in person next month.  Although it will be different and bizarre with masks and spacing and dividers between desks, it will feel so good to spend your days with friends again.  But we will soak up our last days with you guys before back to school after the longest summer break ever!

We hit Colorado with our Quarantine Family, the O'Briens.  And we did all the summer Colorado things.  And we absolutely loved it.  Hiking, biking, horse back riding, hot tubbing, fire pits.  And we threw in make overs, an Amazing Race and two birthday celebrations for good measure.  It was so dreamy!  Dreamy to celebrate our 9 and 12 year olds.... dreamy to wake up to a bluebird sky with gorgeous mountains in the background and start our days with a hike in the cool mountain air.  Dreamy for you girls to get some much deserved quality time with friends.

Cheers to the most amazing, truly endless summer!
