We loaded up the pick-up and headed east to try to duplicate one of my favorite Wisconsin traditions... cutting down the Christmas tree! Although it was a few degrees warmer than it was in the Midwest, Mollie and Charlie were able to take a hay ride out to the tree farm and roam around while helping us pick out a tree. When we were about an hour and a half past planned departure, Mollie was no longer fascinated by one large green tree after another and we couldn't find our front runner, we just cut down the first tall tree we saw.

Always interesting to see how it looks when you actually put it in your house... hopefully it will have at least one good angle :)
