Friday afternoon started off with a gorgeous day and yummy picnic and park time at Lake Wingra Park.
Kicking off the weekend continued with my very favorite, a perfect happy hour at the Union. It started with the girls in their chairs, bouncing and listening to bluegrass, while the grownups shared a pitcher.
Before we knew it, Kendall was waving her hands in the air to the beat.
The obvious next step... head to the front row.
Both girls made friends and finished their happy hour dancing right in front of the bandstand!
The mixture of fresh air, live music and families, with a backdrop of Lake Mendota and the Hoofer sailing fleet cannot be beat. The girls LOVE it!
Up next was special Big Sis time at Dane Dances atop the Monona Terrace.
Same idea... different backdrop (Capitol at sunset), different music (reggae and salsa)
Just as much dancing and fun.
Mollie had so much fun dancing with new friends at the union, she spotted another group about her age and said "Mommy, let's go meet those friends".
They welcomed her right into their game of duck, duck goose, and she spent the rest of the evening running around and dancing with them in this gorgeous setting!
