The girl's own personal elf on the shelf joined our family for the first time this year. The first order of business, as laid out in the book that accompanied his arrival, was to name him. Mollie quickly came up with Chippy. Although I don't think his presence has influenced their behavior for the better, as it's supposed to since he reports back to Santa every night, one of the highlights of the season has been searching for him in his new spot every morning. It has gotten Mollie out of bed before school quicker than ever before. We will miss this guy and his silly hijinks once he's gone!
