Wandering and cooking our way through Rome

\

We hit the streets this morning to see some of Ancient Rome.  We started with tossing coins in the Trevi Fountain, making wishes to return to Rome.  And not too shortly after, had another healthy gelato breakfast.

We hit the Piazza del Popolo, then found the most amazing little restaurant, Otello, with an outdoor table hidden down a tiny side street.  We laughed and laughed and enjoyed a perfect Italian meal!

We popped over to the Spanish steps again on the way home, this time with a bigger crowd.

And then came the cooking class!  A trip highlight.  The girls favorite.  Wow, how much fun!
The four of us had the opportunity to cook with a chef in an Italian kitchen on the edge of Piazza Navona.  We made homemade spaghetti and sauce, lemon ricotta ravioli with brown butter sage sauce, and lemon and chocolate gelato... then got to enjoy it as a family and it was spectacular!  This night was your favorite of the trip!

 Gelato #4! Homemade by you!
Checking out the scenery on the way home.

A sunset walk down the Spanish steps and then cards on our hotel balcony.  Perfect ending to a perfect day!
